On Thursday 13th November, over 100 eager children and their parents arrived at Grove Primary School dressed in their pyjamas and dressing gowns to listen to a fantastic selection of bedtime stories.
The event was so successful last year that members of staff were keen to recreate this wonderful evening. They made inviting, cosy reading areas in their classrooms with cushions, blankets and fairy lights to add to the magic of their delightful stories.
This year, we were very fortunate to welcome Tom Hunt from the Norfolk Children’s Book Centre to our event. Mr Hunt is a fantastic story teller and pupils of all ages were entranced with the stories he read. In addition, Mr Hunt set up a fantastic book display for parents and children to browse and purchase during the hot chocolate and biscuit break.
Mrs Hall, the school’s Headteacher stated, ‘The event was a huge success and I would like to thank all the children and their parents who turned up to support this special event'.
